Job Description

Role : Vice President Legal
Location : Mumbai 
Experience : 10 to 12 years 
Qualification : LLM 
Job Description : 
Conduct and oversee due diligence for land acquisitions
development rights
leasing
and joint ventures in all key regions
Draft
vet
and negotiate high
value agreements including sale deeds
lease and license agreements
joint development agreements
JDAs

and memoranda of understanding
MOUs

Ensure seamless registration and compliance with local land and revenue authorities
Provide leadership to legal teams across all locations
ensuring uniform legal standards and processes
Develop and enforce company
wide legal policies
checklists
and standard operating procedures
SOPs

Advise regional business heads and project leaders on legal risks and mitigation strategies
Liaise with internal business units to support project development
sales
and leasing from a legal standpoint
Ensure company
wide compliance with RERA
land acquisition laws
registration norms
stamp duty regulations
and applicable environmental laws
Interact with regulatory bodies and represent the company before statutory and quasi
judicial authorities
Manage real estate litigation including land disputes
tenant issues
and regulatory violations
Address operational legal issues such as encroachment
property tax disputes
and compliance with municipal by
laws
Coordinate with external counsel and represent company interests in court proceedings and arbitration
Support property management teams with legal advice on operational matters including tenant disputes
contract enforcement
and compliance issues
Provide legal input for vendor contracts
maintenance agreements
and property handovers
Advise on legal aspects of real estate fund structuring
investor agreements
and regulatory compliance under SEBI
FEMA
and other applicable laws
Review private placement memorandums
trust deeds
and fund formation documentation
Support transaction structuring and exit strategies from a legal perspective
Coordinate with external counsel and represent the company before courts
tribunals
and statutory authorities
Monitor and ensure compliance with state
wise legal developments affecting real estate
