Qualification: B.com,M.com

Job description

TDS Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Ensure compliance with TDS regulations and guidelines set forth by the Income Tax Department.
2. Review and validate TDS calculations for various payments including salaries, vendor invoices, rent, interest, and contractor payments.
3. Deduct TDS as per applicable rates and provisions, ensuring timely and accurate remittance to the government.
4. Prepare and file TDS returns (e.g., Form 24Q, Form 26Q, Form 27Q) within the prescribed due dates.
5. Reconcile TDS deducted with TDS payable, resolving any discrepancies and ensuring accurate accounting.
6. Respond to queries and notices from tax authorities related to TDS filings, assessments, and audits.
7. Stay updated with changes in TDS laws, regulations, and procedural requirements, and implement necessary changes in the compliance process.
8. Manage all aspects of income tax compliance, including computation of taxable income, preparation of income tax returns, and payment of taxes.
9. Collaborate with finance, legal, and other departments to ensure alignment of tax strategies with overall business objectives.
10. Assist in tax audits and assessments, providing necessary documentation and support to tax authorities.
11. Prepare and maintain documentation related to TDS and income tax compliance for audit purposes.
GST Roles and Responsibilities

1. Ensure compliance with GST laws and regulations set forth by the Goods and Services Tax Council.
2. Review and validate GST invoices for accuracy, compliance, and eligibility of input tax credits (ITC).
3. Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, within the prescribed due dates.
4. Reconcile GST data with financial records, identifying and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.
5. Monitor changes in GST rates, notifications, and circulars issued by the government, and implement necessary changes in the compliance process.
6. Assist in GST audits and assessments, providing necessary documentation and support to tax authorities.
7. Conduct periodic reviews of GST compliance processes and internal controls, recommending improvements as needed.
8. Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on GST implications for various transactions, including cross-border transactions and intercompany transactions.
9. Collaborate with IT and finance teams to ensure alignment of ERP systems with GST reporting requirements.
10. Stay updated with developments in GST laws, regulations, and procedural requirements, and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.
11. Assist in GST reconciliations with vendors and customers, resolving any discrepancies and ensuring accurate accounting of GST transactions.
12. Prepare and maintain documentation related to GST compliance for audit purposes.
