Position: Senior Manager - Policy Compliance
Qualification: CA,LLB
Experience: 7 to 10 years

Job description
  1. ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
ACCOUNTABILITIES ACTIVITIES 1. Policy & procedure development
  • Identify risks in existing policies / processes and with an objective of mitigation, assist in developing compendium of policies and the related procedures / SOPs.

  • Seek responses/feedback thereon from stakeholders and update the policies / procedures.

  • Periodic relook at policies and procedures will follow, to mitigate any new risks that emanate, performance improvement and further to keep pace with the changing domestic/international laws and the best of the business and enforcement practices or as a consequence of audit, risk assessments, investigations, management reviews etc.
2 Implementation/ implementation support
  • Support in development of awareness material and thereafter assist in permeating messages from ethics code and compendium of ethics policies amongst all the employees/associates within Nayara Energy Limited through awareness campaigns and communications in consultation with other stakeholders such as HR, L&D, Branding & Communications, etc.
  • Develop implementation initiatives to fulfil compliance obligations set out for Compliance & Security Department such as that for Anti-Corruption Policy, Conflict of Interest Policy (mitigation measures), Prevention of Corporate Fraud Policy, Anti-Money Laundering Policy etc.
  • Preparing regular reports/presentation outlining implementation status3 Monitoring policy compliances
  • Contract reviews for mandatory contractual clauses such as Hotline channels, ABC and Data Protection clauses.
  • Installation, development of compliance monitoring tool to track and control policy compliances as well as preventive and corrective actions.4. Corruption and bribery risk assessment, fraud risk assessment and money laundering risk assessment. Carry out risk assessment (in-house/outsourced) on a periodic basis. 5. Development of corrective actions and preventive actions (CAPA) in consultation with business functions and monitoring implementation of the same.
  • Assist in development and implementation of CAPA activities for all ethics related policies / procedures as per implementation plan.
  • Conduct periodic compliance reviews from time to time.6 Investigation support To provide support to Lead - Investigations in independently managing/assisting in corporate investigations as required. 7. Special projects Assist in/independently manage special projects as may arise from time to time such as compliance reviews, technology roll out, compliance initiatives, etc. 8. Research, knowledge building and administration matters
  • Conducting research involving knowledge of laws, regulations, international standards, emerging trends, ideas for testing compliance, overall good governance, etc.

  • Assist in administration of department activities e.g. internal reports, MIS preparation for this function, statistics, database maintenance, audits, bill transmittals, purchase requisitions, etc.

  1. Team Size: This is an individual contribution role and incumbent will work together with his/her supervisor in cross functional spectrum of activities.

  1. SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
  2. Educational Qualifications & Certifications:

  • CA/CPA/LLB/MBA or similar qualifications
  • Certified Fraud Examiner or Certified Internal Auditor will have an added advantage
  • Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint, MS Visio (added advantage)

Relevant (Functional/Level) & Total Years of Experience:
  • 7 - 10 years of professional experience involving internal audit, forensic accounting, risk management and corporate compliance; and

  • Any work experience within compliance function of a corporate or in the Oil & Gas industry will be an added advantage.

  • Report/deliverable writing proficiency
