Position: Senior Manager or Manager- Contracts
Qualification: LLB, LLM
Experience: 9 to 13 years
Location: Pune, Mumbai

Job Description:
Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Drafting, vetting, negotiating and standardizing commercial agreements, vendor agreements, HR agreements, supplier agreements, agreements relating to branding, marketing, NDAs, and all agreements pertaining to the Company;
  • Drafting and updating standard operating manuals, contracts playbook;
  • Researching and opining on any legal, compliance matter pertaining to the Company including general corporate matters, changes in the regulatory regime or laws applicable to the Company;
  • Collaborate and liaise with clients and internal departments;
  • Ensuring implementation of commercial contracts and in-house compliance;
  • Reviewing and strengthening internal policies and procedures, terms of use of the website, app;
  • Engaging and providing briefs to law firms for any legal opinion being sought from them;
  • Understand business priorities and products, solutions and be solution oriented in business discussions;
  • Conducting trainings whenever required on applicable laws including but not limited to Data privacy law, competition law, anti-bribery and corruption laws.
  • Hiring, training and mentoring legal resources as and when required; and
  • Develop strong working partnerships with other key stakeholders across the business (e.g. business teams, finance, marketing and HR).
Expectations:
  • LLB, LLM with excellent credentials;
  • Minimum 8-10 years of exposure as an in-house lawyer in any industry (managing contracts reviews and negotiations);
  • Experience in drafting, negotiating, vetting and advising on commercial contracts;
  • Proficient in legal drafting with attention to detail. Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and team management skills;
  • Exceptional communication (both written and verbal) skills. High proficiency in English (written and verbal);
  • A self-starter with excellent business discernment, legal acumen and ability to work both cross-functionally and independently;
  • The candidate should exercise sound and practical judgement while maintaining highest ethical standards at all times; and
  • Strategic legal thinking and capable of arriving at practical legal solutions.
