Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for ensuring the account codes used for booking the expenses are correct before the same is sent for approval to top management. Trial balance should reflect correct figures and true picture of the financial information.
  • Ensure payments for all vendor/ agency bills within defined timelines considering the credit period unless otherwise directed by the Center Director
  • Ensure GST calculation and reconciliation being done by the staff is done as per defined timelines and also ensures the filing of the same on or before the deadlines.
  • Monitor the budget spending of each department at the Center on a regular basis and highlight excess cash/ liquidity requirement against budget for any department to the Unit Finance Controller and Center Director
  • Responsible for coordinating with external CA firms for regular audits of operations (expense accounting/ provisioning, etc) and also for coordinating with various departments on audit queries
  • Responsible for the smooth transition of accounting policies and practices form IGAAP to IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) as per defined timelines (FY2012)
  • Ensure proper documentation for all operations (TDS calculation, GST Tax filings, audit replies from various departments, etc.) and provide updates/ reports as and when requested by the Senior Management
  • Budgetary Control & Cost Optimization techniques (including Funds & Cash Flow Management)
  • Ensure compliance with set accounting and reporting standards as well as governance norms defined by the CFO to ensure transparency, timeliness and accuracy of accounting for respective projects/ SPVs.
  • Ensure adherence to statutory compliances as well as proper and up-to-date documentation of all books of accounts, reports, lease and revenue contracts, etc. for respective projects.
  • Responsible for finalization of accounts for respective projects by ensuring all necessary procedures are completed.
  • Prepare the books of accounts for each SPV/ project including Trial Balance, Profit & Loss statement, Balance Sheet, Annexure to the Balance Sheet and Notes to Accounts and forward the same to GM F&A for review.
  • Responsible for timely processing of vendor/ contractor/ supplier/ architect bills for respective projects ensuring all functional procedures are adhered.
  • Ensure all bills received from QS department for payment are complete and correct (in terms of code, approvals, all necessary documents are duly attached.
  • Ensure all the Mall reporting are done on time without fail.
  • Ensure adherence to the defined Audit Plan (for internal and external audits) for respective projects/ SPVs.
  • Ensure that all audit findings are communicated to the Senior Management in line with the defined reporting norms
