Experience : 15 to 20 years
Qualification : B.tech
Location : Narsanda- Nadiad- Gujarat
Job Description :
The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for building and leading the Maintenance
function from the ground up, covering Electrical, Mechanical, and Electro-Mechanical
maintenance. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and proven
experience in handling plant and utility maintenance to ensure high reliability, safety, and
efficiency of operations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Plant Setup & Establishment
Develop and implement the complete maintenance system (policies, SOPs,
schedules) from scratch.
Supervise erection, installation, commissioning and handover of all plant & utility
equipment.
Set up maintenance workshop, tools & tackles, and spare parts inventory
management system.
2. Equipment & Utilities Maintenance
Plan and execute Preventive, Predictive, and Breakdown Maintenance for all plant
machinery, including:
o Super Enamelled Copper & Aluminium Wire and Strip Lines.
o Continuous Transposed Conductor (CTC) Machines.
o Paper-Covered Conductor Lines.
o Bunching, Stranding & Cabling Machines.
o Copper Busbar, Foil & PV Ribbon Manufacturing Lines.
o Upcaster / Electric Furnaces for continuous copper rod casting.
Maintain utilities & infrastructure: HT/LT electrical systems, transformers,
compressors, DG sets, HVAC, water cooling systems, firefighting systems.
Monitor equipment health to minimize downtime and ensure maximum Overall
Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
3. Team Building & Leadership
Recruit, train, and lead a skilled multi-disciplinary maintenance team.
Define roles, responsibilities, and performance standards for the team.
Develop a proactive culture focused on safety, accountability, and reliability.
4. Spare Parts & Vendor Management
Identify critical spares and develop optimum inventory control systems.
Build strong vendor base for OEM spares, service contracts, and AMCs.
Negotiate and finalize contracts with service providers for cost-effective maintenance
support.
5. Safety, Statutory & Compliance
Ensure compliance with Factory Act, Electrical Safety Rules, Environmental & Fire
Safety regulations.
Implement strict LOTO (Lock-out / Tag-out), Permit-to-Work, and Safety Audit
systems.
Drive zero-accident culture in maintenance activities.
6. Continuous Improvement
Introduce modern maintenance practices – TPM, Kaizen, 5S, and Condition
Monitoring.
Lead energy conservation and cost-saving initiatives.
Adopt digital tools / CMMS for maintenance tracking and reporting.
