Job description

Roles and Responsibilities

  1. Litigation Management:
  • Handle and manage all litigation matters, including drafting and reviewing legal pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Represent the company in court proceedings, arbitration, and mediation.
  • Collaborate with external counsel to develop case strategies and ensure effective representation.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to assess the company\'s legal position in ongoing disputes.
  • Monitor and manage the progress of litigation cases, ensuring timely updates to relevant stakeholders.
  1. Contract Management:
  • Review, draft, and negotiate various contracts, including project agreements, subcontracts, and vendor agreements.
  • Identify potential legal risks and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Provide legal advice and guidance to project teams on contract interpretation, rights, and obligations.
  • Assist in the resolution of contractual disputes, including mediation, negotiation, and settlement discussions.
  1. Risk Management and Compliance:
  • Identify and assess legal risks associated with the company\'s operations and projects.
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and policies.
  • Advise internal stakeholders on compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Conduct internal investigations into potential legal or compliance violations.
  • Develop and deliver legal training programs to enhance legal awareness within the organization.
  1. General Legal Support:
  • Provide legal advice on various corporate matters, such as corporate governance, intellectual property, and labor law.
  • Review and advise on non-disclosure agreements, employment contracts, and other legal documents.
  • Handle matters related with property laws such as documentation, updating in revenue records , search of property etc.
  • Assistance and advise on legal aspects of commercial transactions and property law related issues including registration of documents.
  • Stay updated on changes in relevant laws and regulations impacting the EPC industry.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and procurement, to address legal issues and ensure business objectives are met.
Desired Candidate Profile

  • Law degree from an accredited institution
  • 5+ years of experience as a litigation attorney or legal counsel, preferably in the EPC industry.
  • Strong knowledge of civil and commercial laws, contract law, and dispute resolution procedures.
  • Experience in managing and litigating complex commercial disputes.
  • Proven negotiation, mediation, and arbitration skills.
  • Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of international laws and regulations relevant to the EPC industry is a plus.
