Position: Legal Lead
Qualification: LLB
Experience: 7 to 10 years

Job description
  1. Financial Conceptualize and implement plant operating policies, processes and procedures to ensure adherence to compliance with all statutory or legal requirements in order to minimize the legal risk that DCBL could face while conducting business Build legal strategy for plant operations to effectively deal with contractual and other litigations and ethics Prepare and manage the annual budget for the plant and reporting sections in conjunction with the overall plant’s budget and secure subsequent approvals, track expenditure and ensure adherence to the budget Develop the workforce plan for the department by providing inputs on own plants workforce forecasts Review status reports containing large contractual obligations and potential exposure from legal and compliance standpoint.
  2. Customer Ensure that appropriate response is provided for RFIs, RFPs, RFQs or customer terms and conditions as needed Review terms of all contracts of suppliers, customers and employees to ensure they comply with Government Legislation and Contracting Laws Ensure protection of the interests of the workers in the plant in all litigation related matters by external parties, government, etc. by successful handling of court cases.
  3. Operations Work under the guidance of the Legal, CS and CA head and ensure all legal compliances are in place Maintain legal files, documents and records and draft and vet contracts and agreements for the organization from the Legal standpoint Contribute in drafting and reviewing of laws, regulations, policies, contracts and agreements and follow up legal matters with public prosecution, police department, courts and insurance cases. Manage correspondences between DCBL and public prosecution if required / as directed by the management Responsible to draft, study and analyze legal matters relating to all types of contracts, agreements and MoUs and prepare legal notes and comments pertaining to ongoing and pending contractual issues Provide legal advice to the user departments as per the requirements Oversee the preparation of legal documents by analyzing, drafting, negotiating terms, and reviewing them to ensure consistency with respect to DCBLs philosophy of risk management Design and execution of a set of preventive and detective key controls at plant level Ensure regular follow ups and status updates on legislations particularly those that may affect the plants position.
  4. Self/ Team Development Provide safety training and ensure that all safety protocols are in place Review and monitor performance of team members and provide requisite developmental support/ inputs Recommend training as required for teams development Develop the team and update their knowledge base to cater the organization need Strategize avenues for enhancing employee satisfaction in the function, resulting in high engagement levels of employees
