Legal Associate (Liquidation), 0 to 2 years in Mumbai

Job Description

• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations related to insolvency and bankruptcy.
• Provide expert legal advice on matters related to insolvency, bankruptcy, and liquidation processes.

• Manage and oversee insolvency and liquidation cases from initiation to resolution.
• Liaise with stakeholders, including creditors, debtors, regulatory authorities, and legal representatives.

• Prepare and review legal documents, notices, and reports related to insolvency and liquidation.
• Handle the filing of necessary documents with the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) and other regulatory bodies.

• Assist the Liquidator in the daily operations and procedures of the Corporate Debtor.
• Provide legal guidance in accordance with relevant rules and regulations.

• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on the status of insolvency and liquidation cases.
• Address and resolve any queries or concerns from stakeholders regarding the insolvency process.

• Develop and implement strategies for effective resolution of insolvency and liquidation cases.
• Advise management on potential risks and mitigation strategies related to insolvency and liquidation.

• Conduct legal research on various aspects of insolvency and bankruptcy law.
• Analyze case laws, legal precedents, and updates in IBC to ensure compliance and strategic advantage.

• Train and mentor junior legal associates and team members on IBC and liquidation processes.
• Stay updated with the latest developments in insolvency and bankruptcy law and disseminate knowledge within the team.

• Strong understanding of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016.
• Excellent legal drafting and documentation skills.
• Proficient in legal research and analysis.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and work under pressure.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

• Must have a valid license to practice law (for LLB holders).
• Prior experience in handling insolvency and liquidation cases is mandatory.
• Familiarity with the functioning of the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT).
