Position: Head Legal
Qualification: LLB
Experience: 22 to 30 years
Location: Mumbai

Job description

Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial
a) To effectively handle all legal matters, litigations, matters related to corporate law etc in line with the principles laid down at Organizational level.
b) To assess and handle implications of legal matters in Projects, Operations and M&A.
c) To formulate strategies for contract structuring to optimize any legal issues.
2. Operational
a) Provide inputs, advice, directions to counsels handling our litigations.
b) File timely litigations with strong arguments & defense.
c) Provide advice on Company Law matters in cases related to M&A, Divestments, Demergers, Corporate Re- structuring etc.
d) Ensure adequacy and timeliness in all statutory and regulatory compliances.
e) Maintain highest levels of accuracy and integrity in all databases /systems at all times.
3. Customer
a) Maintain effective relationships with various Counsels, legal / statutory bodies, stakeholders for effectively handling issues related to legal matters.
b) To ensure proper handling of queries raised by Internal/ External bodies.
c) To proactively create and participate in Policy advocacy initiatives.
4. People
a) Ensure and maintain a high performance culture through effective performance management, training and coaching in line with Organizational values and ethics.
Ensure continuous skill up-gradation of all team members.
