Role : GST Compliance Executive ( Direct-Indirect Taxation)-AFC
Location : Mumbai
Qualification : M.COM
Experience : 1 to 3 Years
Job description
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented GST Compliance Executive to manage the organization’s indirect tax functions. The candidate will be responsible for timely and accurate GST return filing, reconciliation, cross-functional coordination, and ensuring end-to-end compliance with applicable tax laws and internal control frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
1. GST Compliance & Return Filing
• Ensure timely and accurate filing of GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9 and GSTR-9C
• Handle input tax credit (ITC) reconciliation (Books vs GSTR-2B)
• Monitor e-invoice and e-way bill compliance
• Work closely with vendors and internal teams to resolve mismatch issues
2. Data Handling & Reconciliation
• Perform detailed tax ledgers and transaction reconciliations in Tally/SAP
• Manage records for GST audits and departmental queries
• Liaise with finance and ERP teams for invoice matching and data validation
3. Tax Advisory & Internal Coordination
• Provide insights on GST implications for new transactions
• Collaborate with procurement, legal, and sales teams for tax classification
• Stay updated on latest GST circulars, notifications, and legal rulings
4. Automation & API Integration Support
• Assist in implementation of GST tools or API integrations
• Liaise with software vendors for tax engine implementation or system corrections
Key Skills Required:
• Strong working knowledge of GST laws and indirect taxation
• Hands-on experience in filing returns and reconciliations
• Knowledge of Excel, Tally ERP 9, SAP preferred
• Familiarity with API integrations and digital tools (added advantage)
• Excellent communication and cross-functional coordination skills
Soft Skills & Attributes:

• Ability to meet tight deadlines and multi-task
• Adaptability and positive attitude
Certifications (Preferred):
• NISM-Series-VIII: Equity Derivatives
• Advanced Excel
