Job description
POSITION: Senior Consultant (SC) / Deputy Manager / Manager - Accounting, Finance Advisory, IFRS, project accounting

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The candidate has a primary responsibility to complete tasks assigned by supervisory personnel and in executing projects relating to Finance Advisory, Finance Transformation, Financial Accounting consulting and Finance Reporting assignments, e.g. IFRS related assignments. The candidate has direct, client-facing engagement responsibilities.
As a core member of the project team, the candidate is involved in Financial Advisory review and assistance in finance process consultancy and IFRS compliance assignments. Through interaction with client and project team personnel, the candidate develops professional relationships that contribute to exceptional client service. The candidate demonstrates the attributes of excellent client service and assists team members in developing technical and professional competency.


EDUCATIONAL & PROFESSIONAL CREDENTIALS
  • Chartered Accountant
  • 2+ years in IFRS / Financial advisory / Project Accounting and compliance assistance.
  • Experience in Financial Analysis and Reporting systems (e.g. Hyperion, Cognos etc.)
  • Proficient in working on ERP environment (Oracle / SAP etc.)
  • Professional Certifications such as Oracle Certified Professional would be an added advantage.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective client relationships and understand the clients business and project requirements.
  • Understanding of business processes and technical skills to successfully develop effective solutions and complete project assignments.
  • Financial statement analysis including periodic P&L, Balance sheet performance reporting, consolidation and Group reporting using financial reporting tools.
  • Prior project management and supervisory skills.
  • Understanding of the importance of business ethics.
  • Sound project management and job administration skills.
  • Strong Interpersonal skills and ability to interact in a team environment.
Knowledge of:
  • Fully Allocated Cost (FAC) using Historic Cost Accounting (HCA)
  • FAC using Current Cost Accounting (CCA)
  • Long-Run Incremental Cost (LRIC)
  • Excellent written communication skills & strong analytical skills.
  • Must be able to maintain professional demeanor in times of high stress.
  • Consulting experience is preferred.

REQUIRED TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
  • Experience in working in ERP environment (Oracle / SAP);
  • Experience in working on Financial Analysis and Reporting systems (e.g. Hyperion / Cognos)
  • Expertise in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS);
  • Knowledge of auditing processes and methodologies, including flowcharting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite applications.
