Position: Finance and Accounting Specialist
Qualification: B.com
Experience: 0 to 5 years 
Location: Mumbai

Job description

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Payment Processing: Efficiently handle day-to-day payment processing while meticulously verifying payment details and maintaining accurate records.
  2. Bookkeeping: Possess a fundamental understanding of bookkeeping procedures to support financial data accuracy.
  3. Bank Reconciliation: Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations to ensure financial transparency.
  4. Intercompany/Ledger Reconciliation: Engage in intercompany and ledger reconciliation to maintain financial integrity.
  5. Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively within the team, following instructions accurately.
  6. Software Proficiency: Proficiency in using accounting software, such as Tally, and MS Excel for financial tasks.
  7. Record Keeping: Maintain both digital and physical financial records with meticulous attention to detail.
  8. Additional Knowledge: Knowledge of investment accounting or financial finalization is an added advantage.
  9. Tally ERP 9: Possess good knowledge of Tally ERP 9 for daily accounting data entries.
  10. Tax Compliance: Handle GST and TDS knowledge, ensuring timely compliance, and prepare tax invoices, purchase orders, challans, pro forma invoices, and quotations.
  11. External Coordination: Liaise with external parties such as chartered accountants (CA) and banks for tax queries, IT payments, and UTR numbers.
  12. Debtors and Creditors: Share debtors and creditors lists with the accounts head.
  13. Vendor Management: Handle vendor payments and reconciliation.
  14. Compliance and Audit Support: Assist in monthly workings, compliance, and audit processes, maintaining comprehensive documentation to support findings and recommendations.

Payroll Responsibilities:
  1. Salary Processing: Generate employee salaries accurately and in a timely manner.
  2. TDS Calculation: Compute TDS for employees and ensure compliance.
  3. Investment Verification: Verify employee investment declarations and reimbursement proofs.
  4. Form 16 Verification: Thoroughly review Form 16 once exported from Traces.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software, particularly Tally ERP 9.
  • Strong understanding of GST and TDS regulations.
  • Familiarity with payroll processing.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
