Job description
Key responsibilities
1. Tax and compliances
a. Handling all compliances including returns (IRS / Companies House / Other ) for US entities of Datamatics
b. Help to the billing team in correct tax rates on sale of goods / services as per various state regulation
c. Help in tax planning of US entities and ensuring best transfer pricing practices.
2. Accounts, Audit and control
a. Ensure monthly closure of accounts within given timelines which include billing, revenue, expense and balance sheet closure.
b. Handling payments to employees / vendor and ensuring accuracy in payments with no escalations.
c. Analysis of monthly account and highlight the exceptional / irregular issues and also help business understand the financials
d. Identify best practices within various aspects of accounting and business operations and implement them within the organization
e. Formulate / modify policies / processes wherever required in coordination with stakeholders
3. Treasury and banking relationship
a. Help identifying alternate investment sources to maximize returns on idle money without compromising on principal
b. Handle banking relationships and ensure governance in payments
c. Ensure in time collections from customer
4. Technology
a. Person must be a tech mind-set
b. Implement newer technologies / best in class processes in various areas of operations like banking / travel / payments / billing etc.
c. Good knowledge of SAP will be an added advantage
5. Business finance
a. The person should be growth mind-set and provide input to business on various key parameters
b. Study economic / markets trend on regular basis and providing valuable insights to the business to unlock maximum organizational potential
c. Help business in putting proposals especially ensuring reasonable accuracy on financial numbers / assumptions
Qualifications & Desired Skills
1. The desired candidate must
a. 5-7 years of experience working in a Finance & Accounting role.
b. be a CPA/CA
c. have strong experiencing handling tax, compliance, audit & accounting
d. be tech savvy
e. have good knowledge of SAP (preferred)
f. Have a growth mind-set
g. Be familiar with economic/market trends
