Job description

Job Summary:
We are looking for a seasoned Company Secretary to assume a pivotal role in our organization. We seek an individual with a wealth of experience in legal and compliance matters within the manufacturing industry. The successful candidate will provide expert guidance and ensure that our group companies remain compliant with all applicable regulations and laws.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all legal and compliance matters within the organization.
  • Keep abreast of changing regulations and laws and advise the management team on necessary actions and adjustments.
  • Provide expertise in corporate governance, legal compliance, and risk management.
  • Advise on best practices, corporate governance standards, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements at both the Central and State levels, including the Companies Act.
  • Collaborate closely with the Top Management to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Act as a key liaison between management, legal counsel, and regulatory bodies.
  • Interact with Advocates / Senior Advocates and provide all assistance to them for instituting cases or defending cases against the Company.
  • Keep track of all notices received from the Govt / Govt Bodies and ensure timely action.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in Law and a Company Secretary (CS) certification.
  • 15+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Expertise in corporate governance, legal compliance, and risk management.
  • Strong knowledge and familiarity with central, state and local laws and regulations.
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry is a must.
