Job Description

• Prepare and review financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, in accordance with accounting standards.
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting to management and regulatory authorities.

• Analyze financial data, trends, and performance indicators to provide insights and recommendations for improving financial performance.
• Prepare financial forecasts and budgets to support strategic planning.

• Coordinate and manage the external audit process, ensuring compliance with auditing standards and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with auditors to address audit findings and implement corrective actions.

• Prepare and file tax returns, including income tax, GST, and other applicable taxes.
• Stay updated on tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and optimize tax strategies.

• Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard financial assets and ensure accuracy in financial transactions.
• Identify and mitigate financial risks.

• Prepare and submit regulatory reports to relevant authorities as required by microfinance industry regulations.
• Ensure compliance with reporting deadlines.

• Maintain organized and complete financial records, including transaction documentation and supporting schedules.
• Manage financial archives and records retention.

• Utilize financial software and systems to facilitate accounting and reporting processes.
• Recommend system improvements and enhancements as needed.

• Provide financial advice and guidance to management on financial strategies, investments, and cost-saving opportunities.

• Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in financial management, accounting, or auditing, preferably within the microfinance or financial services sector.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and auditing standards.
• Proficiency in financial analysis and forecasting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
• Familiarity with financial software and systems.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
