Job description
Job Profile: Assistant Manager-PIS (Portfolio Investment Scheme) Department.
PIS is a scheme regulated by Reserve bank of India for investment By Non-Residents Indians (NRI) in India.
PIS Department is Knowledge Process outsourcing department undertaking entire operational activities in relation to PIS services outsourced by Banks
into in-house PIS
software. It involves computing the taxes of the trades undertaken by the NRI clients of the Banks and preparing the reports to be submitted to RBI and depositories.
I. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
A) Primary:
1. Business Development, approaching new Banks/ Broker to market our services.
2. Development of new business product and preparing the processes for the same.
3. PIS Department and FPI:
• Handling routine issues of the Department.
• Attending to any issues faced by team while dealing with Banks.
• Resolving the issues faced by Bank.
• Attend to various queries relating to FEMA and Income Tax of NRI customers of Bank, Bank\'s officials and Brokers (related to PIS and FPI)
• Planning the activities that shall be undertaken by the software development team.
• Discussing with the software development team on how a new report has to be created/modified which will not hamper our current software processing and meet the desired requirements.
• Taking a report from Software Development Team on what actions have been initiated further to the meeting with Bank officials on PIS
• Attending to Audit of the Banks
• Taking reporting of the staffs.
• Overall effective Supervision of the department.
B) Secondary:
1. Finalisation of Agreement/SLA, Fees, Prepare and updating the Policy Decision and all over TAT of all Banks in PIS.
2. Arranging Training for the staff.
3. Recruitment of staff for PIS Department
4. Activity allocation amongst staff.
II. LEARNINGS:
• Attend seminars
• Read / study following books / materials / sites:
• Income Tax Act, Master guide to Income Tax Act, Income Tax Rules, Commentary (when required)
• FEMA Act, Rules, Regulations, Circulars, Notifications, etc.
III. Qualification:
1. Qualified CA/ MBA in marketing with minimum 1 to 2 years experience in KPO (financial services) industry.
2. Should have good communication skills.
3. Knowledge of Presentation, excel, word and well aware with stock market related terms.
4. Working experience in Software would be an added advantage.
5. V lookup, Pivot, Macros and knowledge of PIS, FPI, mutual fund operations.
