Job description
Role & responsibilities
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, for company in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and other applicable regulatory standards.
  • Compile financial data from various sources, including general ledger accounts, bank statements, and supporting documentation.
  • Analyse financial data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
  • Review general ledger accounts, trial balances, and supporting documentation to identify and correct errors or discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls in the preparation of financial statements.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather necessary financial information and resolve any issues or inquiries related to financial statement preparation.
  • Maintain organized and well-documented files and records to support the preparation of financial statements and facilitate internal and external audits.
  • Stay informed about changes in accounting standards, regulations, and industry trends that may impact financial reporting requirements.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve processes, enhance efficiency, and ensure consistent quality in financial statement preparation.
  • Assist in the implementation of new accounting software or systems to streamline financial reporting processes and improve accuracy and efficiency.
  • Co-ordinate with external and internal auditor and resolve their queries.

Required Candidate profile:
  • 2-5 years of experience in financial statement preparation, with a strong understanding of IGAAP/INDAS and financial reporting requirements.
  • Proficiency in SAP accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to review and analyse financial data effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues, propose solutions, and implement improvements.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with auditors and team members.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, while meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development, with a desire to stay current on industry best practices and emerging trends in financial reporting.
