Job description

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Audit Planning & Execution:
  • Plan and execute internal audits in accordance with established procedures/ scope of audit.
  • Review and assess the organization\'s financial and operational systems.
  • Evaluate internal controls, business processes, and operational efficiency.
  • Prepare audit programs and schedules based on the companys risk profile.
  1. Financial Reporting:
  • Prepare audit reports and communicate findings to management.
  • Review financial statements for accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Ensure that financial records and reports are in compliance with applicable laws, policies, and regulations.
  • Conduct / identify potential financial discrepancies.
  1. Compliance & Risk Management:
  • Assess the company’s internal control system for compliance with corporate governance policies, legal regulations, and standards.
  • Identify and evaluate areas of risk and propose strategies for mitigating financial, operational, or compliance risks.
  • Ensure adherence to relevant industry laws, regulations, and tax requirements.
  1. Improvement Recommendations:
  • Provide recommendations for improving operational efficiency, financial controls, and internal procedures.
  • Support the implementation of corrective actions following audit findings.
  • Offer guidance to management in addressing audit findings and managing risk.
  1. Internal Audit Reporting:
  • Prepare detailed and concise audit reports that outline findings, conclusions, and recommendations.
  • Present audit findings to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Assist with preparing reports for board members and auditors.
  1. Coordination & Collaboration:
  • Work closely with the finance, accounting, and operational teams.
  • Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies, when required.
  • Follow up on the implementation of corrective actions resulting from audits.
  1. Documentation & Record Keeping:
  • Maintain clear documentation of audit work and findings for review and future reference.
  • Ensure all audit activities are in compliance with the company’s policies and applicable regulatory standards.
  • Experience:
  • A minimum of 2-4 years of experience in internal auditing or related fields, preferably in a corporate or industry setting.
  • Experience in financial auditing, risk assessment, compliance audits, or internal control review.
  • Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of accounting software and auditing tools.
  • Knowledge in ERP platform like SAP, NAVISION, ORACLE will be an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting.
  • Ability to interpret financial data and translate it into actionable recommendations.
  • Strong knowledge of Indian GAAP, IFRS, and internal audit standards.
  • High attention to detail and analytical thinking skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects with deadlines.
  • Other Qualifications:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with senior management and various departments.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
