Job Description

• Handling PAN India Ombudsman cases and ensuring timely vetting and filing of reply by preparing and arranging presentation of documentry and other evidence before the Ombudsman and analyzing and preparing PPT on cases that are weak on merits and taking proactive measures to reduce the number of Ombudsman cases by settling the same in Company\'s interest . Highlighting the key legal issues to the HOD on time.
• Prepare Root Cause Analysis of lost cases every month.
• Timely Reporting to IRDAI / Group/ Finance function/Board on pending Ombudsman cases.
• Streamlining the entire Ombudsman and Legal Notice MIS.
• Handling Legal Notices and ensuring that reply is filed on time.
• Examining and giving legal advise on various business matters.
• Managing Legal Dashboard, updating MIS, maintaining proper records and highlighting critical issues to HOD.
• Maintain a comprehensive RCSA which includes identifying, measuring, managing & reporting all functional risks. Update Functional RSCA with Risks & Controls to avoid unforeseen losses and prevent audit observations. Additional Task subject to requirement from time to time:
• Handling Police Complaints and Liasoning with Police Authorities for police complaints filed by and against the Company
• Vetting Lease/ Leave and License Agreements and Legal advisory to Admin/facilities function related to the same
• Providing legal opinion to claims function on repudiation of claim
