Qualification: CA

Job description
Responsibilities
A. Deal/ Opportunities Sourcing
  • Identify and source attractive opportunities, and work in a team environment to select new mandates for fundraising
  • Connect businesses that need money to finance their operations or expansion plans with investors who are interested in providing that funding
  • Prepare industry research & marketing materials to win work, acquire new clients and boost business presence in client markets
  • Manage all stages of initial client interactions, from the origination pitch to the investment contract
  • Represent the firm at networking and industry events
B. Fundraising Collateral:
  • Prepare marketing materials and client presentations, including but not limited to: pitchbooks and live deal materials, valuation materials, confidential information memorandums, management presentations, IRLs etc.
  • Review of materials prepared by clients including investment memoranda, management presentations, and pitchbooks
  • Research market conditions and industries to identify market trends, investment opportunities, and business risks
C. Deliverables:
  • Lead day-to-day execution of transactions and manage key working streams in a flawless and efficient manner
  • Assist in creating investment thesis and communicating investment value propositions to prospective investors
  • Perform valuation analysis using various methodologies including discounted cash flow, leveraged buyout, trading and transaction comparable
  • Development of various types of financial models to value debt and equity for mergers, acquisitions, and capital raising transactions
D. Mentorship:
  • Foster a positive, highly motivated environment, exhibiting strong leadership and management qualities
  • Act as a mentor and role model to the more junior members of the team
  • Supervise, train, and mentor a team of Associates and Analysts on the completion of process materials, valuation analysis, etc.
Qualifications and Skill Sets
  • 2-4 years in investment banking, fund raising or corporate finance within the following entities: an investment bank, a lead advisory boutique, M&A departments of accounting/consulting firms, a micro-VC or a family office
  • CA/ MBA with a Bachelors degree in a quantitative field, such as finance, economics, or accounting
  • CFA designation preferred
  • Knowledge of accounting and financial concepts, with the ability to analyze and value businesses thoroughly
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-based environment with minimal supervision
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines
  • Working knowledge of deal origination and execution
  • Stay abreast of industry news, regulations, and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge
  • Fluent in English with strong communication and networking skills
  • Proven proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, Tracxn, Capital IQ and other research databases
  • Ability to organize and track overlapping tasks and assignments, with frequent priority
