Job description

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Analysis and Reporting:
  • Analyse financial data and create financial models for decision support.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Conduct variance analysis to compare actual results to budget and forecasts.
  • Identify trends and provide insights to management for strategic planning.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and performance metrics.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting:
  • Assist in the development of the annual budget and periodic forecasts.
  • Monitor budget performance and provide variance explanations.
  • Work with department heads to develop and refine financial forecasts.
  • Perform scenario analysis to predict future financial outcomes.
  • Data Management and Financial Systems:
  • Maintain and update financial databases and systems.
  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy in all financial reports and analysis.
  • Implement improvements to financial processes and systems.
  • Strategic Financial Planning:
  • Support the development of long-term financial plans.
  • Conduct financial feasibility studies for new projects and initiatives.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations for business growth.
  • Evaluate the financial impact of business decisions and strategic initiatives.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
  • Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial information.
  • Present financial findings and recommendations to senior management.
  • Prepare ad-hoc financial analysis and reports as requested by management.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. A Masters degree or relevant professional certification is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Financial Analyst or similar role.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and financial software applications.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with financial analysis in [specific industry, if applicable].
  • Knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP.
  • Understanding of SQL and data extraction techniques.
  • Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
  • Project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
