Role & responsibilities
- Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Provide insightful financial analysis and recommendations to support decision-making.
- Monitor key financial metrics and KPIs to identify trends and variances.
- Manage the annual budgeting process, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Track and control budgetary performance throughout the fiscal year.
- Provide variance analysis and recommend corrective actions when necessary.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Generate customized financial reports for senior management and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Provide guidance, training, and development opportunities to team members.
- Set clear goals and expectations and conduct regular performance evaluations.
- Manage cash flow and liquidity, optimizing working capital.
- Oversee treasury functions, including banking relationships and investment strategies.
- Implement and monitor risk management strategies.
- Collaborate with senior management to develop long-term financial strategies and goals.
- Participate in strategic decision-making, mergers and acquisitions, and capital allocation.
Preferred candidate profile
- Candidate must have pursued/pursuing Chartered Accountancy
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive finance and accounting experience.
- Proven experience in financial planning, budgeting, internal audit , taxation and analysis.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Advanced proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a cross-functional environment.
- Strategic thinking and the ability to provide valuable financial insights.
- High ethical standards and a commitment to financial integrity.
