Job description
Role & responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Provide insightful financial analysis and recommendations to support decision-making.
  • Monitor key financial metrics and KPIs to identify trends and variances.
  • Manage the annual budgeting process, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Track and control budgetary performance throughout the fiscal year.
  • Provide variance analysis and recommend corrective actions when necessary.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Generate customized financial reports for senior management and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Provide guidance, training, and development opportunities to team members.
  • Set clear goals and expectations and conduct regular performance evaluations.
  • Manage cash flow and liquidity, optimizing working capital.
  • Oversee treasury functions, including banking relationships and investment strategies.
  • Implement and monitor risk management strategies.
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop long-term financial strategies and goals.
  • Participate in strategic decision-making, mergers and acquisitions, and capital allocation.
Preferred candidate profile
  • Candidate must have pursued/pursuing Chartered Accountancy
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive finance and accounting experience.
  • Proven experience in financial planning, budgeting, internal audit , taxation and analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a cross-functional environment.
  • Strategic thinking and the ability to provide valuable financial insights.
  • High ethical standards and a commitment to financial integrity.
