The company also operates a specialized manufacturing unit, Royaltrack, focused on the fabrication of steel girders and other components for Indian Railways. With a reputation for delivering large-scale infrastructure projects, the company seeks a skilled Chartered Accountant to manage the financial aspects of its manufacturing operations.
Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Chartered Accountant for our manufacturing unit, Royaltrack. The candidate will manage financial operations, compliance, and reporting for the manufacturing of steel girders and other components for Indian Railways. The position involves financial planning, taxation, and auditing responsibilities, and will report directly to the Head of Finance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of Financial Statements:
- Preparation of Profit & Loss Accounts and timely reporting of financial data.
- Finalization of Accounts and preparation of the Balance Sheet.
- Variance analysis between budgeted and actual expenses for projects related to steel girder fabrication.
- Taxation:
- Manage Direct & Indirect Taxation, including GST, TDS, and Income Tax compliance for manufacturing operations.
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns.
- General Accounting:
- Oversee the accounting for raw materials, manufacturing overhead, and operational costs.
- Ensure proper documentation and accurate bookkeeping for all financial transactions related to Royaltrack.
- Audits & Compliance:
- Liaise with Statutory and Internal Auditors to ensure smooth audit processes.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and industry-specific guidelines.
- Management Information System (MIS):
- Prepare and analyze MIS reports to provide insights on the financial performance of the manufacturing unit.
- Present financial metrics and cost analysis to senior management, with a focus on profitability of Indian Railways projects.
- Financial Analysis & Reporting:
- Provide strategic financial analysis and suggest areas for operational and cost efficiency in manufacturing processes.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization and improvements in the fabrication of components.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with internal teams, including production, procurement, and project management, to align financial and operational objectives.
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax consultants to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Qualifications & Skills:
- CA Qualification with experience in the manufacturing or infrastructure sectors.
- Strong knowledge of direct and indirect taxation, compliance, and financial reporting.
- Proficient in advanced Excel for financial modeling and analysis.
- Working knowledge of ERP software (such as SAP or Oracle) is desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work across departments.
- Critical thinking, problem-solving, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience in handling government contracts, particularly with Indian Railways, will be advantageous.
