Position: Chartered Accountant
Qualification: CA
Experience: 4 to 9 years
Location: Mumbai

Job description

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review monthly MIS reports and financial dashboards.
  • Participate in financial preparation, including drafting Notes to Accounts.
  • Coordinate timely closure of books of accounts (monthly, quarterly, annual).
  • Review audit reports, accounting policies, and ensure compliance with industry best practices and guidance notes.
  • Maintain strong knowledge and application of IND AS standards.
  • Conduct intercompany reconciliations and prepare Overall Analytical Reviews (OAR) with comparative analyses.
  • Conduct need-based visits to manufacturing plants.
  • Review IND AS adjustment entries for holding and subsidiary entities.
  • Participate in the preparation of the companys Annual Report.
  • Expert in drafting SOPs, accounting memos, and process notes.
  • Ensure timely closure of group companies books and provide financials for parent company consolidation.
  • Ensure compliance with IND AS, Companies Act 2013, and other statutory requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal and statutory auditors for timely audit completion.
  • Oversee control account reviews.
  • Review and enhance Segregation of Duties (SOD) for finance functions.
  • Ensure IND AS 116 lease compliance and collaborate with property management.
  • Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date documentation of all financial processes and procedures
  • Manage expense reviews and escalate exceptions.
  • Analyse cost vs. benefit of major expense spends.
  • Participate actively in the budgeting exercise and Estimated Vs Actual (EvA) analysis.
  • Create repositories in archival tools for Record-to-Report (R2R) processes.
  • Present group companies\' MIS and analytics to the parent company.
  • Participate in monthly presentations and quarterly board deck preparation
  • Drive automation initiatives using tools like Power BI, FCCS, and Hyperion.
  • Implement process controls and suggest process improvements.
  • Actively participate in technology-driven solutions for reporting and financial management.
  • Provide support to Treasury, Direct Tax, and Indirect Tax functions as needed.
  • Assist group companies with financial closure and parent-related activities.
  • Ad-Hoc Work: Perform other duties as required on an ad-hoc basis to meet the needs of the company.

Requirements, Skills & Competencies

1. Preferred Qualification

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) from Big4 or industry with relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems and reporting tools.

2. Technical Skills
  • Strong knowledge of IND AS and financial compliance standards.
  • Proficient in financial reporting, MIS preparation, and audit coordination.
  • Proficiency with automation and reporting tools (FCCS, Hyperion).
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel and Power Point.
3. Analytical and Process Skills

  • Strong analytical mindset with expertise in OAR and cost-benefit analysis.
  • Process-oriented with a focus on implementing controls and process improvements.

4. Interpersonal Skills

Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Strong ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams and auditors
Ability to handle stakeholder communication and present financial data effectively
