Job description
Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Financial Reporting & Compliance
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in compliance with regulatory standards and IndAS on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
- Oversee internal controls and risk management processes to safeguard company assets.
- Ensure statutory compliances including GST, Income Tax, State Laws, etc.
- Assist with payroll-related tasks and ensure accurate TDS computation and timely payment.
- Liaise with external auditors and regulatory authorities to facilitate audits and ensure compliance.
- Regularly review and update financial records to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Coordinate quarterly reviews and year-end audits, ensuring audit compliance and addressing queries.
- Develop and implement sales and procurement policies, ensuring adherence to guidelines.
- Manage ESOP compliance and documentation, ensuring accurate reporting.
- Coordinate with consultants for GST, PF, PT, and TDS returns.
2. Financial Planning & Analysis
- Develop comprehensive financial plans, budgets, and forecasts to support strategic initiatives.
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis, highlighting key insights and recommendations for optimization.
- Prepare budgets, financial forecasts, and report variances.
- Monitor performance against budgetary targets and implement corrective measures as necessary.
- Review product pricing and conduct margin analysis.
- Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to management and key stakeholders.
- Prepare and review monthly MIS reports, analyzing financial performance.
3. Cash Flow Management
- Manage cash flow effectively, optimizing working capital and liquidity to support operational/business requirements.
- Prepare and analyze cash flow statements, working capital movements, and report on collections receivable, raising red flags if necessary.
- Implement cash flow forecasting models to anticipate funding needs and mitigate cash flow risks.
4. Team Management & Leadership
- Lead and mentor a high-performing finance team (4-5 members), fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Provide guidance and support for professional development and career progression.
- Promote knowledge sharing and cross-functional collaboration within the finance department and across the organization.
5. Operational Duties
- Evaluate and approve purchase orders, ensuring compliance with budget and procurement policies.
- Reconcile purchase orders, purchases, and GRNs, and perform ledger reconciliation for vendors and customers.
- Oversee the payroll process and ensure accurate TDS computation and timely payment.
- Liaise with auditors and company secretaries for compliance and ensure timely submission of reports.
Qualifications:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification.
- 4-8 years of experience in accounting and compliance.
- Proficiency in Tally ERP, MS Office, and financial software.
- Ability to interpret and analyze financial statements and periodicals.
- Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
