Key Responsibilities:
GST Compliance and Management:
- Ensure accurate and timely filing of GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, and other applicable returns) and maintain up-to-date records.
- Handle GST reconciliation, including input tax credit and output tax liability.
- Address GST queries, assessments, and notices from tax authorities and provide necessary documentation.
- Assist in GST audits and assessments, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Accounts Management:
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions in accordance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Monitor and manage cash flow, working capital, and budgeting processes.
Financial Reporting:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis to support decision-making.
Taxation and Compliance:
- Manage direct and indirect tax compliance, including TDS, income tax, and other statutory filings.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls and compliance with all financial and accounting regulations.
Internal Audits and Controls:
- Assist in the development and implementation of internal audit procedures.
- Conduct regular reviews of financial processes and records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Collaborate with internal teams, external auditors, and consultants to ensure smooth financial operations.
- Support senior management in financial analysis, strategic planning, and decision-making.
Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements in accounting and GST-related activities to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Implement best practices in financial and tax management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CA/ICWA/MBA (Finance) is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance and accounting roles, with a strong focus on GST compliance and management.
- In-depth knowledge of GST laws, regulations, and filing procedures.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
