Job description

Financial Planning and Analysis
  • Budget Development: Assist in creating annual budgets, ensuring alignment with business goals and market conditions.
  • Forecasting: Conduct sales and revenue forecasting based on historical data, market trends, and promotional activities.
  • Variance Analysis: Analyse budget variances and provide insights to management regarding financial performance.
Reporting
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and present monthly and quarterly financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • KPI Monitoring: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) relevant to the beverage industry, such as sales volume, market share, and cost of goods sold (COGS).
Accounting Support
  • Cost Management: Monitor production costs, including raw materials, labour, and overhead, to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Inventory Valuation: Manage and report on inventory levels, ensuring accurate valuation and compliance with accounting standards.
Cash Flow Management
  • Cash Flow Analysis: Monitor and analyse cash flow, ensuring adequate liquidity for operations, production, and marketing initiatives.
  • Collections Management: Oversee accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely collection of payments from distributors and retailers.
Strategic Support
  • Market Insights: Analyse market trends, competitive positioning, and consumer preferences to inform pricing strategies and product development.
  • New Product Evaluation: Conduct financial assessments of new product launches, including profitability analysis and return on investment (ROI) projections.
Process Improvement
  • Financial Processes Optimization: Identify and implement improvements in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
  • Technology Integration: Utilize financial software and tools to streamline operations and enhance data accuracy.
Risk Management
  • Financial Risk Assessment: Evaluate financial risks related to market fluctuations, supply chain issues, and regulatory changes, proposing mitigation strategies.
  • Compliance
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry regulations and financial reporting standards, including beverage-specific regulations.
Other Duties
  • Ad-hoc Analysis: Perform various financial analyses as required by management for strategic decision-making.
  • Stakeholder Reporting: Prepare presentations and reports for senior management and external stakeholders.
