Job description

JOB SUMMARY
Planning, managing and monitoring end to end financial and accounting system to ensure smooth business support and timely availability of information for management decision making.
The roles core functions are :
1. Planning and devising strategies for efficient use of financial assets
2. Managing end to end accounting system to ensure smooth business support processes by doing timely payments, billing and recovery
3. Ensuring smooth and hassle free compliances with relevant laws and regulations across the function
4. Managing and maintaining management information system for decision making process by providing financial information and analysis



KEY DUTIES & RESPOSIBILITIES

STRATEGIC

  • Planning and developing strategies to use financial assets efficiently and effectively
  • Developing best standard accounting system to ensure smooth business support
  • Devising strategies to comply with all statutory compliances on time

IMPLEMENTATION

  • Implement best internal control system for maintenance of accounts and records as required under Companies Act and mandatory accounting standards issued by Institute of Chartered Accountants of India
  • Ensure adequate checks and balances in ERP system in consultation with IT team to enable internal checks and control ensures data integrity and reliability of information provided to stakeholders
  • Review and monitor the reports and observations by Internal Audit team and suggest corrective action on major risk issues
  • Implement monthly / quarterly / yearly closing of accounts and generate necessary MIS reporting to all stakeholders to ensure true and fair profitability and cash flows are informed to the management
  • Ensure compliance of direct and indirect taxes like Tax Audit, GST Audit, TDS Returns and compliance
  • Implement Budget and Cost management system to ensure necessary reports are available for analysis of overheads
  • Coordinate with Statutory, Internal Audit, Cost Auditors and Company Secretarial team to ensure that accounts are audited without major deviations / qualifications within the time deliverables of Companies Act
  • Estimate the working capital requirements and long term financing requirements based on forecasted grown and the actual financials and initiate necessary financial support from Bank/NBFC Toward Fund and Non Fund based loans to meet the day to day financial needs of the company
  • Monitoring cash management system, all subcontractor and client by doing timely and accurate accounting, billing and payment

MANAGERIAL

  • Review resource requirement and deploy right skill set to ensure the volume of work as envisaged are handled in effective and efficient manner by the Accounts dept.
  • Manage guide and train department staff for better productivity and deliverables
  • Mentor and guide own department team managers for their team management
  • Responsible for selection, appraisal and training of Finance & Accounts team

OTHERS

  • Preparing all updated finance and accounts related analytics and matrices for management information system purpose
  • Visiting other Branch Office / Site Location as and when needed
