Job description
Accounting Manager:
Maintain full and adequate books and records for project entitiesMeet all deadlines for service deliverables to parent company and investorsSupport Month End Close process through timely provision of all documentation to back office for recording
  • Prepare and / or review monthly project level financial statements and workpapers and quarterly consolidated financial statements Document review for internal control and sox compliance purposes
  • Read and abstract management services agreement, power production agreements and other legal agreements
  • Lead Internal controls/sox compliance functions
  • Catalog monthly and quarterly files in cloud-based network
  • Banking/Treasury Management/Cash Flow Forecasting Prepare / review bank reconciliations and document sign-off for internal controls purposes
  • Review and monitor bank accounts and cash balances weekly and provide to back office
  • Enter ACH payments for monthly expenses and distribution payments
  • Other treasury management tasks as needed
AR Track and monitor collection of all payments due – includes revenue from PPA off-takers and manage accounts receivable – provide support to Asset Managers where needed. Provide AR Invoices to back-office team for monthly recording purposesAP Collect and review incoming invoices from vendors. Document approvals against applicable agreements – notify back office and provide allocations where necessarySubmit invoices to back office for recording in GL. Enter payments/achs in online banking system and review weekly payments with Director of accounting for approval.Review AP tracker for completeness.LLC Distributions: Evaluate monthly distributions from available cash with Director of accounting and back office. Enter ach payments for approval.Within 25 days after qtr.-end prepare a report showing the calculation of cash available for cash distributions and any distributions that occurred during such qtr determined in accordance the Tax Equity LLC agreement. Notify parent company of distributions paid each month.Financial Statements & Reporting Audited financial statements Draft financial statements including consolidating balance sheet and consolidated statements of income, members’ equity and changes in cash flows and related footnotes for fiscal year and calendar year requirements within contractual deadlinesTimely response to documentation requests from auditorsQuarterly Financial Statements Within 45 days after the end of each calendar quarter, unaudited quarterly financial statements in reasonable detail and fairly presenting the financial position, as of the end of such quarter, on a GAAP basis, subject to lack of footnotes and normal YE adjustments.Reconciliation of debt service at holding company levelsHLBV Tracking Model Review project / consolidated HLBV calculations on quarterly basisMonthly reports Review monthly opex files against ap source docs – communicate issues to back office for revisions.Variance Analysis Prepare quarterly variance analysis for parent companyPrepare monthly budget v actual reports for managementAnnual budget At least 75 days prior to year-end, collaborate with Asset Manager to create project operating (cash and accrual) budgets for the upcoming year, showing all items of revenue and expense. Upload budgets to NetSuite for budget v actual reporting1099 Prep: Prepare and submit IRS forms 1099 as applicable for project vendors.

  • 18) Sales & Use Tax: Support the filing and payment of all sales, use, and general excise taxes.

  • 19) Tax support Provide supporting documentation to US income tax return preparer to complete required Federal and state tax filings

  • 20) Annual Tracking Model Update annual tracking model with actual financial results

  • 21) DSCR reporting Prepare and distribute the periodic calculation of DSCR according to spreadsheet model or template provided by Stellar in accordance w financing documents

  • 22) Soft Skills: Organized individual with good time management skills to meet multiple deadlines
  • Self-starter who can work independently as well as lead internal and external/partner teams
  • Sound problem-solving, decision-making skills and ability to work in fast-paced environment.
  • Work experience within real estate or private equity investment funds preferred
  • Working knowledge of Oracle Netsuite preferred
