Roles and Responsibilities:
- Financial Closure Management:
- Plan and execute monthly, quarterly, and annual closure schedules.
- Provide timely monthly financial statements and manage the monthly closing process.
- Monitor and ensure reclassification and proper accounting of erroneous or unaccounted entries before the General Ledger closure.
- Profit & Loss Management:
- Prepare and explain weekly profit and loss projections.
- Establish product line profit and loss statements to identify opportunities and risks.
- Legal and Compliance Management:
- Administer legal assignments related to company banking limits, guarantees, taxation, and accounts assessment.
- Enforce compliance with GST, TDS, Service Tax, VAT, and other regulations; create month-end provisions for expenses.
- Reporting and Analysis:
- Draft and present weekly and monthly management reports on cost-benefit analysis, productivity, inventory turnover, and cost variance.
- Review financial results and conduct year-on-year and quarterly comparisons of company performance regarding both top-line and bottom-line metrics.
- Ensure compliance with applicable policies, contracts, and regulations.
- Accounts Receivable Management:
- Monitor each payment receipt from customers, mapping it against actual receivables.
- Issue credit notes for deductions such as IGST, TDS, late delivery (LD), and sales returns.
- Coordinate effectively between customers, sales personnel, and the accounts department.
- Audit Coordination:
- Conduct internal audits of accounts receivable and statutory audits of sundry debtors, providing necessary data for auditors.
- Develop various management review reports (MRM) on an ad hoc basis.
Desired Candidate Profile:
- Education: Chartered Accountant (CA) or B.Com preferred.
- Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in the Accounts & Finance Department.
- Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is preferred; experience in any manufacturing setup will be considered.
- Skills:
